Starting Iwama Aikido

At Aiki Shuren Dojo Adelaide, we've developed a structured pathway to help beginners. Every new student trains in our regular adult classes from their very first lesson whilst completing our 8 Week Beginners Program, designed to introduce the fundamental movements and principles of traditional Iwama Aikido.

Beginners Program - 8 weeks for $88

Our Beginners Program provides a clear structure for the first eight weeks, designed to remove uncertainty and help new students build strong foundations from day one.

In addition, we believe the best way to learn Aikido is to become part of the dojo from the beginning. Rather than placing beginners into a separate class, new students train alongside experienced students. â€‹This means beginners will have the support from more experienced students, while progressing through a carefully planned introduction to the fundamentals of Iwama Aikido.
