Tuesday recap (3 March)

Ohayo gozaimasu!


Here is a recap of the exercises we went through last night:

  • Choku tsuki

  • Keishi tsuki

  • Tsuki up and down the mats, left and right stance

  • Warm up and strech - wrist joint; legs; calves; ankles.

  • Hanmi stance; walking left and right hanmi stance, regular steps and then longer steps

  • Shiko (knee walking)

  • Sit falls

  • Forward roll, knees and standing

  • Drawing the bokken

  • Bokken stance

  • Hanmi walking up and down the mats with bokken sheathed and then cutting

  • Breath power and coordination (kiai!).
